Saipan, CNMI, April 2, 2014 --- In an ongoing effort to partner with MISO and PSS, NMIVA is helping sponsor two more Cool Volley sessions for youth in Saipan.

We play it Cool is the new FIVB campaign to attract the youth to participate in volleyball and beach volleyball. Cool Volley is a proactive development tool aimed at assisting National Federations to recruit youth through their projects at a national level. Cool Volley promotes volleyball as an easy, fun, and competitive way of playing.

MISO through cooperation with PSS is focusing on student grades 4-12. Schools are recommended to select up-to 4 classes (w/primary teachers) from the elementary grades (4-6) and somewhere between 50-75 students from both the Junior High and High school levels.

The first Cool Volley session took place January 24, 2014 with PSS's Central Cluster and included a couple of private schools as well. Two more sessions have been planned for April 2014.
  • North Cluster - coming up April 14, 2014 at Chacha Oceanview Junior High School
  • South Cluster - coming up April 15, 2014 at Koblerville Elementary School
This program is provided at no cost to MISO and PSS. NMIVA aides with equipment and incidentals through its development fund. MISO and PSS coordinate locations and students. MISO, PSS and NMIVA volunteers help with execution of this event.
