This week, professional beach volleyball players are visiting here in Saipan! They arrived late Tuesday night, then visited Bob Coldeen for KSPN2's Sportswrappers on Wednesday 2/13 and later spent a rainy afternoon at the Fiesta Resort and Spa beachside conducting a FREE Kids Clinic for more than 30 of our youth. They spent their Valentine's Day (2/14) morning at KKMP radio, then headed out to Grace Christian Academy and Saipan International School. These schools earned the privilege of a personal visit by the successes of their volleyball team's success in the inter-scholastic MISO season leagues for both boys and girls. Later in the afternoon, they visited Marianas High School gym to interact with MISO players during matches and jumped into team warm-ups. See photos all of their excursions at the following links! Tonight, MVA and NMIVA will entertain the pro beach volleyball players at The Beach House Bar in front of Fiesta Resort and Spa for happy hour. The entertainment for the evening will be the championship match of the inaugural Friday's Sunset Beach Volleyball Tourney; an 8-week long tournament with 8-teams battling it out for bragging rights and a few small prizes. This event is open to the public. Happy hour drink specials and Spicy Thai Noodle food specials available from 4:30-7:30pm. |
