Marianas Cup Beach Volleyball Festival starts Wednesday

The Marianas Cup Beach Volleyball Festival is the longest running beach volleyball event in the history of beach volleyball in Micronesia. This year the event continues to expand and reach out regionally with the inclusion of both Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. This year Guam will host the Pro Am for the first time ever, while Saipan will host the 2nd Annual Junior Cup. Both Guam and Saipan will host Kids's Clinics with the Pros and Kid's Cups events.  This festival takes place over the course of three total weeks of activities. Here is a quick run down of the next couple of weeks of events (or check our quick view calendar): 2/12 - Pro Athletes begin arriving in Saipan, training all week at Fiesta Resort & Spa beachside 2/13 - 4:30-6:30pm FREE Kids' Clinic, ages 8-25 at Fiesta Resort & Spa beachside, open to the public, sign in on arrival             4:00-6:00pm Early/Discount registration open for Junior Cup (get your forms here) 2/14 - A.M. Pro guest appearance on KKMP radio, SIS & GCA school visits (champs for the MISO leagues)             4:00-6:00pm Pro player guest visit to the MISO games at MHS             4:00-6:00pm Early/Discount registration for Junior Cup 2/15 -  4:00-7:00pm Pro player welcoming happy hour, drink and food specials, The Beach House Bar, Fiesta Resort             4:00-6:00pm Full price and final registration for Junior Cup             5:00pm Sunset Beach Bar Tourney Championship at Fiesta Resort beachside 2/16 -  8:30am Check in             9:00am Junior Cup Pool Play, games start             11:30am Pro Exhibition Matches, free and open to the public              1:00pm Junior Cup Pool Play resumes, Pro players coaching 2/17 -  8:30am Check in             9:00am Junior Cup Double Elimination (based on pool play, no new entries)              5:30pm Award presentation with the Pros 2/18 - Pro players head to Guam, training all week at Gun Beach, Tumon Bay 2/19 - All day early bird registration for the ProAm Cup at St John's School 2/20 - 4:00-6:00pm FREE Kids' Clinic, ages 8-25, Guan Beach, Tumon Bay             4:00-6:00pm Early/Discount registration for ProAm Cup 2/21 - VIP Dinner (invite only) 2/22 - 3:00-6:00pm Full price and final registration for the ProAm Cup             5:30pm Pro Exhibition Matches, free and open to the public (Pro raffle draw during event) 2/23 - 7:00am-8:00am player check-in             8:00am-5:00pm Pro Am Cup Pool Play 2/24 - 7:00am-8:00am player check-in             8:00am-5:00pm Pro Am Cup Double Elimination (based on pool play, no new entries)             7:00pm Players & Sponsors Awards Banquet 3/3 - Kids Cup Guam (more details to follow soon!) 3/10 - Kids Cup Saipan (more details to follow soon!)
