With both the MISO and COPSSA junior and senior high school volleyball leagues launching along with the new school year, these leagues are in dire need of referees. These leagues will pay a nominal fee to those who hold a NMIVA Referee Certificate. For more information on how to get hired for these leagues, please contact Coach Nick Gross at nickgross07@gmail.com for MISO and/or Coach Mili Saiki at milisaiki@hotmail.com for COPSSA. But first, you MUST acquire your NMIVA Referee Certification.

Here is how you earn your NMIVA Referee Certification!!!
Attend the Indoor Volleyball Referee Refresher course
Tuesday, September 11, 2012
@ Marianas High School Gym
4:30pm - 8:30pm
(9:00pm at the latest)

This will be a "refresher" for the people who received their NMIVA Certification, and it will also be a course for those seeking to attain a National Certification for Volleyball Officiating. All Coaches participating in the MISO Volleyball Program MUST ATTEND this course as part of enhancing themselves, the program and the opportunity to get paid more thru MISO/PSS.

Before any participant takes the exam, they will be given an opportunity to sign a NMIVA Referees Agreement which requires all those who successfully pass the course to remain with NMIVA and officiate for NMIVA affiliates only for a period of one (1) year. When these requirements have been successfully met, the participant will receive their NMIVA National Volleyball Referee Certification. If they choose not to sign, they will simply receive a certificate of participation.

This course is recommended for high school graduates, NMC students, coaches, retired volleyball enthusiasts and parents interested in learning more about the game. It will be free enrollment on a first come first serve basis up to a maximum of 25 participants. General inquiries can be directed to Training Programs at nmivolleyball@gmail.com.
