FIVB postpones VCP course until October

posted Sep 10, 2010, 9:50 PM by Laurie Peterka
According to Technical & Development Director, Mr. Helgi Thorsteinsson, FIVB is working on selecting the right instructor to visit the Northern Marianas Islands. Due to scheduling conflicts, Thorsteinsson said they will need to reschedule the CNMI's Teacher's Training Course for some time in October.

FIVB apologized profusely, but they are experiencing some organizational changes that are currently being directed by FIVB President Wei. The good news is that Wei's agenda is heavy on development, especially for Category 1 nations, which include the CNMI. NMIVA is hopeful that this means that the CNMI may be offered more opporunities for development assistance.

NMIVA will await further instructions from FIVB and post information as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, we will leave registration open and encourage any who are still interested to apply. Our online registration system offers the option to enter dates and times that you would prefer. Please use this feature to tell us what is going to work best for you so that we can rely this information back to FIVB.

We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause anyone and we are hopeful that you will be able to stick with us and attend at our revised schedule in October. For those who have already registered, we have your names and contact info. You will be contact directly as soon as we have any new information. As always, we will also post new and updated information at both our website www.nmivolleyball.org and our facebook page.
