Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association (NMIVA) and Guam Volleyball Federation (GVBF) are once again hosting the Marianas Cup Beach Volleyball Festival now in its 23rd year! This year will kick off with the ProAm event in Guam at the newly rehabilitated Ypao Public Beach site, which is also the future home of the Guam national beach volleyball teams who recently won their matches at the Continental Cup hosted by Volleyball Australia at Manley Beach near Sydney, Australia last November. The ProAm begins with the ever popular exhibition match between pro players. This year's pros will be coming from Japan and China. Exhibition match is Friday, February 27, and close of the ProAm Cup registration is 5pm on the same day on site at Ypao Beach Park. Pool Play games will take place Saturday, February 28 and Double-Elimination brackets up to a limit of 16-teams per gender will finish on Sunday March 1. The Junior Cup will be hosted in Saipan this year at the Fiesta Resort and Spa beach front. The Junior Cup is a 19U event, which will begin on Saturday March 7th with Pool Play and finish on Sunday March 8th with Double-Elimination brackets up to a limit of 16-teams per gender. Pro players will hold an exhibition match during the lunch break on Saturday March 7th. The Kids Cup will be hosted in both Saipan and Guam separately. This event is targeted at up and comers in the 13U and 17U divisions and consists of 4-person co-ed teams (one opposite gender on the court at all times). This event is made possible by our long standing partners and sponsors: Guam Visitor's Bureau, Marianas Visitor's Authority, United Airlines, Pacific Islands Club Guam, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, and DoCoMo Pacific CNMI.
