FIVB - Teachers Training Course (FINAL)

 

NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY TO ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP

WHATFIVB instructed VCP Teacher's Training Course hosted by NMIVA
 
TARGET GROUP: Physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools. Youth development coordinators in any private or public programs.
 
PURPOSE: To motivate the teachers to teach volleyball and to improve their way of teaching volleyball
 
WHEN: OCTOBER 18 - 22, 2010
 
WHERE: Marianas High School Gym & Conference Room
 
INSTRUCTOR: Tomas Santamaria Jr. is volleyball-world renowned for his career coaching national teams both in the Philippines and in Australia. Coach Tomas visited Saipan for the first time in 2008 when he came to teach for the FIVB VCP Level 1 Coaches Certification course. Check out the photos from Coach Tomas' first visit!

APPLICATIONS & ENTRY DEADLINES: Register for this course, please complete our ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM. If you cannot make this form work, please email your participation request to nmivolleyball@gmail.com (please use "VCP Teacher's Course" in the subject line). 
 
Manually completed applications may be submitted electronically via email to nmivolleyball@gmail.com or by hand delivery to Gabriel C. White c/o Law Offices of Michael White, 2nd floor Joeten Building in Susupe (above Ebisuya). Application deadline is 5:30pm Friday,  October 15th. 
 
Application fees must be paid at registration on the first day of the course. No exceptions. We will accept cash or check(s) made to NMIVA; sorry we do not except credit cards or purchase orders.
 
CAPACITY: Space is available for up to 30 total participants. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Completed applications will serve as a confirmed reservation. If you miss the application deadline, we will accept walk-up registration the first day of the event only based on seating availability. If you want to guarantee your seat, you must apply by the application deadline.
 
FEES: A 100% refundable deposit of $100/person is due at registration. A 50% refund will be issued to those who accomplish 100% attendance and an additional 50% refund will be issued to those who pass the final exam and receive their certificates. Show up on-time, for each session, and pass the exam to receive a 100% refund for you or your school. Alternatively, you may opt to donate your refund to NMIVA's program development projects.
 
MATERIALS: Course includes a curriculm manual. Videos as indicated, volleyballs, and nets will be provided. Participants should anticipate elements of physical participation and prepare themselves accordingly. Further information will be provided during the introductions and opening remarks section at the first session.
 
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CREDIT: PSS is giving Professional Development Credit (PDC) for those who attend this course.  CCOPSSA schools are encouraged to provide the same benefit to their instructors; however, as this update, NMIVA has not received confirmation from CCOPSSA for PDC.
